A film I created to celebrate the 143rd birthday of James Joyce has been officially selected. I like to think the genius himself is dancing in heaven🕺  Dance Remix “The Ballad of Persse O’Reilly” Lyrics by James Joyce (from “Finnegans Wake”) Read & Music by POETAQ Have you heard of one Humpty Dumpty How he fell with a roll and a rumble And curled up like Lord Olofa Crumple By the butt of the Magazine Wall Of the Magazine Wall Hump, helmet and all? He was one time our King of the Castle Now he’s kicked about like a rotten old parsnip And from Green street he’ll be sent by order of His Worship To the penal jail of Mountjoy To the jail of Mountjoy! 【誤字熟語/Typo Tropes~Definition of word】軽老の非(けいろうのひ)“Sin of Elder Disregard” JP & ENG Version

 日本語の慣用句を言葉遊びのように言い換えて、俳句(川柳)で世相を描こうとする詩的試みです。英訳とともにお楽しみください。

This is a poetic attempt to depict the state of the world with its haiku (senryu), by paraphrasing Japanese idioms like wordplay. Please enjoy it together with the English translation.

高齢者医療費3割負担が閣議決定!

WTF! Cabinet approved 30% of the medical expenses for the elderly😱

Note: September 15, one of Japan's national holidays, called Respect for the Aged Day, is meant to honor the elderly. However, modern Japan has become a rather harsh place for the elderly, except for the wealthiest. This reality is expressed ironically through both Japanese and English haiku in the video.
