【八代亜紀・舟唄に学ぶ〜装い新たに】『山茶花（さざんか）』

　大昔、太鼓と共に歌ったことのある詩を再現。 　尺八、アコギ、ストリングスで演出。編集には、八代亜紀の「舟唄」を何度も聞いて学ぶ。 編曲の力は絶大。まさに生殺与奪、その詩、曲を生かすも殺すもアレンジ次第と痛感させられた。 　I recreated a poem I once performed long ago, singing it alongside taiko drums. This time I arranged it with shakuhachi, acoustic guitar, and strings. While editing, I studied by listening to Yashiro Aki’s “Funauta” over and over. (Yashiro Aki is the late Japanese Singer.)The power of arrangement is immense—truly a matter of life and death. It made me realize, painfully, that whether a poem or song is brought to life or ruined depends on the arrangement.

　スポンサーや政府といった「フィルター」を通して報じられる上辺を取り繕った記事や番組を真実と信じ、逆に報じられない内容に迫る、時として命懸けな行為を「被害妄想」などと嘲り退けては、偽りに満ちた狂言世界で安泰に無知なまま過ごす能天気な「これこそ民主主義」と操られっぱなしの危うくも楽しい生活。

【Demacracy】

　Believing in sugar-coated articles and programs reported through “filters” such as sponsors or the government, and dismissing as “paranoia” the often life-threatening acts of delving into content that is not reported, leads to a blissfully ignorant and manipulated “this is democracy”, enjoying a risky yet happy existence in the fake-filled crazy world.


Hi, see no evil,

hear no evil, speak no evil.

Fool on the hill.
