。。 Today, on February 11—Japan’s National Foundation Day—I released a new piece titled “Gagaku Recitation.” The work is called “Kigensetsu.” It is based on an old school song, restructured as a spoken recitation. An election has just ended, with voter turnout failing to reach 60%, and the Japanese flag is being raised at the Winter Olympics as this day arrives. It’s a day that makes me pause and wonder—what will become of Japan from here on?

For example, T.S. Eliot and Kenji were inspired by the poetic spirit of "April," even though it is already May, which has brought temperatures reminiscent of summer days, accompanied by dazzling sunshine. I have read Kenji's masterpiece in both Japanese and English. Titled 'Mental Sketch Modified,' the subtitled frustration of his 'Asura' is portrayed sympathetically, expressed through drums and bells in my video.
