【悲憤のシェイクスピア〜Sonnet 66をジャズで朗唱】 Indignant Shakespeare — Reciting Sonnet 66 in Jazz

“Tir’d with all these...” The world, it seems, has changed little over the past four hundred years. And now, with the scorching heat approaching 40°C, even apathy grows heavier. At such a point, one no longer feels much like getting angry. Instead, as if surrendering oneself to a faint breeze blowing only for comfort, I found myself trying a light jazz recitation. That is how this piece, Jazz Shakespeare: Sonnet 66 , came into being. I hope you will enjoy it.

Drink too much, and you’ll be Royal.

You’ll make speeches like a hero, even though you’re an idiot.

And you’ll push the privileged button.

It’ll destroy your friends and also yourself.—The weapon!

Drink too much, and you’ll be a princess on the throne.

Feeling like a patron of the salon, treat men like pawns.

Then keep an eye on where they go.

Let flatterers be followed, and traitors be killed off.

Drink too much, and you’ll be “Godot.”

You won’t even know if you’re coming or not.

You make no difference between fiction and fact.

3D and AI - what a wonderful world.

Drink too much, and you’re a genius.

Good will turn to evil and evil to good.

Angels turn into devils, and devils turn into angels.

In other words, you’ll go up to hell.

Drank too much!
